Saturday at IBC and a pretty big night

So I spent another day at IBC. It was pretty dull to be fair, just a few meetings. I did my bit, Adrian left in the afternoon. He has exactly the right idea about this work life balance. He was heading home for football with his boys. I was stuck out here doing what I do. So I decided to go for a big night like I sometimes do. It all started with some gin and tonic at a booth. In fairness it was lovely stuff. Then a load more drinks and cocktails at the Google beach party. Was nice to get invited to that. I also posted a couple of postcards home and got a caricature done which looked nothing like me.

The place I was going to was
Bar Café LOUIS-DAVIDS
Then I ended up in.
Riverside bar

Pretty nice view from the Hotel. These were shot with my Canon SX60

The walk to the RAI was pretty easy. Just around 25 minutes.

Hanging out in the roastroom again.

This booth did pretty damn tasty gin and tonics. A bit of seaweed.

This guy had an awesome cloud jacket. Cool bloke actually.

A bunch of Hong Kong protesters outside.

The Google Party

This was a pretty fun event. Loads going on, with pretty good food.

Pissed at Cafe Louis

This dude became a good buddy. He was the chef. Seemed to know everyone. Lives in LA for the winter. Seemed to have a pretty good life to be fair.

Saw a lovely old volvo so just had to take a photo. Like I do!

The Riverside bar. Had some German girl's 30th birthday party. So of course I decided to crash it. Was a pretty fun evening all in all, despite being totally wasted at 4am.

I then went back to the Cafe on the way home and for some unknown reason had a final beer that I couldn't quite finish.

Friday at IBC

Another weekend at IBC. This is such a shitter, and I'm not really a fan. Oh well, what can you say about it. It is what it is. Spent a lot of time in the roast room, where we had most of our meetings. Was feeling pretty much ok on the whole despite all the shit from last night.

Staying in room 1824 on the 18th floor. Which had pretty good views of the city.

Discovered a nice little boozer on the walk home (which was around 25 minutes). A bit of a dive bar, but I love dive bars. This would go on to be my place to hang out and have fun a few evenings. A few right old piss heads would hang out there, so it suited me right down to the ground haha. They were doing this chicken Satay BBQ thing which was quite nice. Only cost 10 euros with chips, so was keeping my per diem going strong.

Then I headed back to the hotel and had a few beers there.
